AI Clerking

Clerk

AI that does the paperwork.

Classification tells you what a document is. Clerking does everything else — the tedious, detail-oriented work that used to require a human reading every page. The AI clerk extracts metadata, generates names, applies tags, cross-references against existing records, and writes summaries. All of it informed by the full context of your filing system.

01

Intelligent Naming & Organization

No more "scan_2024_03_final_v2.pdf." The clerk generates consistent, descriptive filenames based on document content, type, date, and organizational conventions. Naming patterns are configurable per document type — invoices get vendor and amount, contracts get parties and effective dates, correspondence gets sender and subject.

02

Metadata Extraction

Dates, amounts, parties, account numbers, reference IDs, addresses — the clerk extracts structured data from unstructured documents. Extracted fields are validated against expected formats and cross-checked against known entities in your system. Ambiguous extractions are flagged rather than guessed.

03

Cross-Referencing & Deduplication

The clerk doesn’t file in isolation. It knows what’s already in the system. Incoming documents are compared against existing records to detect duplicates, identify related filings, and link documents that belong together — an amendment to its original contract, a payment to its invoice, a response to its inquiry.

04

Summarization & Context

Every document gets a plain-language summary — what it is, what it says, why it matters. Summaries are generated with awareness of the document’s type, the sender’s history, and the organization’s domain. A three-page legal notice becomes a two-sentence actionable brief. A 40-page report becomes a structured abstract with key findings.
