Post-Filing
Actions
Filing is the beginning, not the end.
A filed document isn’t a dead document. It’s a trigger. Filing Cab’s action system lets you define what happens after a document is classified, clerked, and approved — from simple storage to complex multi-step workflows that span your entire tool ecosystem.
Storage & Archival
Route filed documents to their permanent homes — cloud storage buckets, document management systems, compliance archives, or cold storage tiers. Storage destinations can vary by document type, age, and sensitivity. Hot storage for active documents, cold storage for retention-only records, with automatic lifecycle transitions.
Forwarding & Notifications
Automatically forward filed documents to stakeholders who need them. An incoming invoice triggers a notification to AP. A signed contract goes to the project manager. A compliance filing is CC’d to the legal team. Notifications include the document, its summary, extracted metadata, and a direct link to the filing record.
Workflow Triggers
Connect document filings to downstream workflows. A new vendor W-9 triggers onboarding. An insurance certificate triggers a coverage verification check. A purchase order triggers a three-way match against the invoice and receiving report. Filing Cab becomes the starting gun for processes that used to wait on someone noticing a document arrived.
System Integrations
Push extracted metadata and filing events to your systems of record — ERPs, CRMs, accounting platforms, project management tools, compliance databases. Bidirectional sync ensures that a document filed in Filing Cab is reflected everywhere it needs to be, and updates in external systems flow back to keep your filing records current.
